Bodylifting is a complex plastic surgery aimed at lifting the soft tissues of the body or several zones (abdomen, back, sides, thighs, buttocks, etc.). Allows you to eliminate soft tissue sagging that occurs with age or after significant weight loss, naturally or with the help of bariatric surgery (surgery on the organs of the gastrointestinal tract aimed at losing weight).
INDICATIONS FOR BODYLIFTING:
- excess soft tissue of the body after radical weight loss;
- the formation of excess skin after removal of excess fat (liposuction);
- age-related loss of skin and muscle tone, leading to sagging tissues.
Torsoplasty is not recommended for diagnosing hemophilia, decompensated diabetes mellitus, severe pathologies of the cardiovascular system, liver and kidneys, for autoimmune, systemic and viral diseases, during pregnancy and lactation, and before the age of 18.
HOW IS TORSOPLASTY PERFORMED?
Bodylifting is one of the largest plastic surgeries requiring high skill. May include:
lifting of the upper zone – removal of excess soft tissues and tightening of muscles in the chest and back;
lifting of the lower zone – correction of the hips and buttocks, tightening of the soft tissues of the abdomen and back;circular lifting is a complex figure correction that allows you to remove sagging skin and strengthen the muscular frame of the body. Often combined with liposuction.
A body lift takes 4 to 6 hours. It can be performed both simultaneously and in several stages. General anesthesia is used. At the end of the operation, compression underwear is put on the operated areas. After bodylifting, patients stay in the hospital under the supervision of doctors for 3-5 days.
Torsoplasty involves several zones at once, so the recovery period here is longer than with other plastic surgeries. Compression garments must be worn for about 2 months. To relieve pain that may persist for the first weeks, you should take painkillers prescribed by your doctor. It is necessary to give up physical activity, visits to the solarium, sauna and pool within 1.5-2 months.
