The muscles of the outer corners of the eyes lose their tone over time. This leads to stretching of the skin in this area and the formation of wrinkles. Ultimately, the outer corners droop, the face takes on a sad, gloomy look. Over the years, the situation has only worsened.
After canthoplasty, the corners are aligned, the classic incision returns, the patient’s face looks young and attractive again. Not only mature patients resort to surgery to cut the corners of the eyes. Many young women do it to get the popular almond shaped incision.
There are several ways to carry out the operation. The most commonly used lateral canthoplasty.
This is an effective and less traumatic operation, during which the surgeon lifts only a small part of the canthal ligaments. Eye canthoplasty is an absolutely safe procedure for the patient, its duration is 1-2 hours.
After the operation, there may be slight swelling in the eyelid area. They will fall off in a few days. Due to the fact that the surgical incision is made in the natural fold of the skin, the seams are not visible. The duration of the rehabilitation period after the laser procedure is 10 days and 14 – when cut with a scalpel.Full recovery comes in a month.
