Mini facelift

Mini facelift is a plastic surgery for facial rejuvenation with low trauma. During the operation, extensive skin detachment is not performed, facial tissues are not injured, as a result, the rehabilitation period is shortened, and natural facial features are preserved.

The purpose of the mini-lift is to rejuvenate the face with the onset of age-related changes that are no longer amenable to correction by methods of therapeutic cosmetology. The plastic surgeon uses the technique of minimally invasive intervention and fixes the soft tissues of the face in a position corresponding to an earlier age period, while maintaining the natural anatomical features of the patient.

Mini-lift is performed when age-related changes in the face are no longer amenable to correction by methods of therapeutic cosmetology. The average age of patients is 40-50 years.The mini-lift differs from the classic facelift by making a short S-shaped incision in the parotid region (may be supplemented by an incision in the temporal region). After the formation of the access, the superficial fixation of the smas-flap is carried out in a higher position, if necessary, the middle third of the face is lifted through the oral access. The operation ends with the application of intradermal absorbable sutures.

Indications for a mini facelift

Ptosis of soft tissues of the middle and lower thirds of the face of I-II degree – the formation of jellies, flabbiness of the skin of the middle and lower thirds of the face, flattening of the zygomatic region, redistribution of facial fat with a tendency to descend downward, the formation of the parotid fold of the skin.Relatively early age of onset of involutional changes in the face – early menopause, a sharp decrease in body weight, hereditary predisposition.
