The main reason for a breast lift without implants is the desire of a woman to change and improve her appearance. The shape of the soft tissues of the mammary glands can be disturbed under the influence of a number of factors, for example:
- age-related changes – due to a decrease in the content of structural proteins in soft tissues – elastin and collagen;
- the period of breastfeeding, during which the breast is stretched;
- rapid loss of body weight, leading to the appearance of excess skin;
- congenital or acquired (for example, as a result of trauma) asymmetry of the mammary glands;
- gravitational descent of the breast with stretching and downward movement of the nipple and areola.
Do not perform surgery when:
- serious pathologies of the heart and blood vessels;
- diseases of the blood coagulation system;
- acute infectious diseases;
- diabetes mellitus;
- the age of the patient is less than 18 years;
- during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Our surgeons, based on their rich practical experience, choose a technique depending on the severity of the changes. As a result, there may be differences in the volume of surgery, the length of the recovery period, and the price of a breast lift (mastopexy) without the use of implants.
The main correction methods are:
- Periareolar lift. It is used in the initial stages of prolapse of the mammary glands. In fact, here mastopexy is carried out by applying cosmetic sutures around the areola. They create the same “framework”, lifting soft tissues up and improving the shape of the breast.
- Vertical pull. This is a larger intervention designed to help with more pronounced stages of sagging breasts. In this case, it is possible to remove excess skin and form completely new outlines of the mammary glands.
- Anchor breast lift without implant augmentation, also called T-shaped, according to the shape of the surgical incision. This technique is used for significant violations of the shape of the mammary glands, as well as for the most pronounced degrees of prolapse. The operation allows you to completely eliminate all these defects, as well as transfer the nipple and areola to a new place, even if they have fallen more than 3–4 cm below the level of the crease under the breast.Immediately after the operation, a fixing bandage is applied to the mammary glands.Then, after the stitches are removed, the patient will have to wear a special compression bra for another month. Throughout this time, you should also avoid increased physical exertion and refuse to visit saunas, solariums and swimming pools.
