Gynecomastia is a condition in which male breasts develop in a female pattern.To eliminate this problem, specialists can apply both conservative and surgical treatment.
INDICATIONS
Surgical correction of gynecomastia is carried out mainly for aesthetic reasons. Such a defect in appearance often causes the appearance of psychological complexes, difficulties in socialization and problems in relations with the opposite sex.In addition, pathology increases the risk of malignant tumors in the tissues of the breast.
If there is no suspicion of an oncological process, they try to fix gynecomastia without surgery. To do this, the patient’s diet is adjusted, it is recommended to increase the amount of physical activity, and those drugs that can cause gynecomastia are canceled. CONTRAINDICATIONS

True gynecomastia appears due to hormonal imbalances, when female sex hormones (estrogens) prevail over male ones (testosterone). Such situations arise with various endocrine diseases, long-term use of certain drugs, and also due to other causes of hormonal imbalance. For example, in athletes, gynecomastia sometimes begins after retiring from professional sports and canceling active training, which reduces testosterone production. With true gynecomastia, the removal of glandular tissue with a one-stage tightening of the stretched breast skin is indicated.
The mixed form combines an imbalance of hormones in favor of estrogens and excessive fat deposits in the chest area. For example, gynecomastia in overweight adolescent boys during puberty often occurs in a mixed type. In this case, the removal of a part of the glandular tissue with simultaneous liposuction is indicated.
